More than 50 property professionals laced up their trainers before dawn to take part in the first-ever Propertymark PM1 Fun Run, raising over £2,000 for The Propertymark Trust.
Held ahead of the day’s conference activities, participants gathered at 6.15am to complete a 5km course, bringing together sprinters, experienced runners, joggers, run-walkers and walkers, all united by a common goal of supporting the industry’s charity.
In true PM1 spirit, one participant even tackled the course dressed in a dinosaur costume, adding plenty of laughs and demonstrating that fundraising can be both meaningful and fun.
The event itself raised an impressive £1,000, with the total climbing to more than £2,000 thanks to generous donations made throughout the day. Additional fundraising came from the sale of specially created mental health workbooks by David Mintz, alongside signed copies of Hacking Humanity kindly Signed by keynote speaker Lara Lewington, with delegates enthusiastically supporting both initiatives.
The atmosphere was one of camaraderie and determination as participants embraced the early start, proving that the property industry is just as passionate about giving back as it is about doing business. Having completed the 5km challenge before most of the conference had even begun, the athletes wore their medals with pride throughout the day, sparking conversations and celebrating their achievement as they networked with fellow delegates.

“The response to our first PM1 Fun Run has been incredible. Seeing more than 50 people up before sunrise, encouraging one another around the course and raising such an amazing amount for The Propertymark Trust was genuinely inspiring. From serious runners chasing personal bests to walkers enjoying the experience – and even a dinosaur crossing the finish line – the event perfectly demonstrated the supportive and inclusive spirit of our industry. The support shown through the additional donations for David’s workbooks and Lara’s signed books made the achievement even more special, and we hope this is just the beginning of an annual tradition.”

“The Propertymark Trust provides invaluable support to members when they need it most, and events like this make a real difference. Whether people ran their fastest ever 5km, walked every step or completed the course in fancy dress, everyone contributed to something much bigger than themselves. The generosity shown through the fundraising activities across the day highlights the incredible community spirit within our profession.”

“There was something really special about seeing so many people swapping business attire for running shoes before the conference had even begun. The PM1 Fun Run brought people together, created lasting memories and, most importantly, raised vital funds for an incredible charity. Seeing participants wearing their medals with pride throughout the conference, alongside the smiles created by our dinosaur runner, perfectly captured the spirit of the event. The support for the mental health workbooks and Lara Lewington’s signed books showed just how willing our industry is to back initiatives that make a genuine difference, and I’m sure next year’s event will be even bigger.”
With medals proudly displayed throughout the conference and participants celebrating their achievement together, the inaugural PM1 Fun Run proved to be a memorable addition to the event programme while making a meaningful contribution to The Propertymark Trust.
The organisers would also like to extend a huge thank you to Propertymark, Goodlord for their generous sponsorship of the PM1 Fun Run, which helped make the event possible, and to Agents Giving for their kind donation and continued support of charitable initiatives within the property industry. Their backing, alongside the enthusiasm of every runner, walker, volunteer and donor, played a vital role in the event’s outstanding success.
Organisers have thanked everyone who took part, donated and supported the event, helping to raise more than £2,000 for a charity that continues to provide essential assistance across the property profession.
