In January 2026, estate agency owner and coach Sarka Wilde will set out to climb Aconcagua in Argentina — the tallest mountain in the Americas at 6,961m. Her goal isn’t just to reach the summit. It’s to raise £10,000 for Propertymark Trust, a charity close to her heart.
This is not a gentle guided trek. It’s one of the world’s toughest mountaineering challenges: three weeks of punishing endurance, sub-zero temperatures, unpredictable storms, and the constant threat of altitude sickness. Only a fraction of those who attempt it make it to the top.
For Sarka, the mountain represents more than a physical challenge — it’s a deeply personal journey.
She has faced hardship in many forms: surviving domestic violence as a child, grieving her mother’s suicide, navigating health battles, miscarriage, and the painful reality of not having children. Through it all, she has continued to run her business alone in an unforgiving economic climate.
“I know what it’s like to be completely on the floor, not knowing where to turn for help,” Sarka says. “That’s why I’m aligning this mission with a cause I care deeply about.”
The cause is Propertymark Trust, a charity dedicated to helping those in the property industry through life’s toughest moments — whether that’s mental health struggles, financial hardship, or serious illness.
“I’ve spent over two decades helping people find homes and build stability through property,” Sarka explains. “Now, I want to help them rebuild themselves when life knocks them sideways.”
Sarka is training relentlessly, balancing a demanding fitness regime with the day-to-day pressures of running her estate agency. Each step she takes towards Aconcagua is also a step towards raising vital funds for the Trust.
Lauren Scott, Chair of the Propertymark Trust, said:
“We are incredibly proud of Sarka for taking on such a remarkable challenge. Her determination and courage reflect the very essence of what the Trust stands for — supporting people through life’s toughest moments. We’ll be cheering her on every step of the way.”
